Eco Fabrics
Our fabrics are all eco-friendly and sustainably sourced. Our suppliers have industry leading innovative processes to sustainably produce beautiful textiles in an environmentally friendly way. All of our textiles are STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®️certified.
The textiles are a blend of Tencel and Organic Cotton. Tencel fibers are derived from wood sourced and harvested from certified and controlled tree farms. Most of this wood comes from Eucalyptus tree farms in Austria. Eucalyptus trees grow at a very fast pace, 10-15 feet per year. The environmentally responsible closed loop production process has given this textile its eco-friendly reputation. This process transforms wood pulp into cellulosic fibers with high resource efficiency and low ecological impact. This solvent-spinning process recycles the water and reuses the solvent at a recovery rate of more than 99%. This greatly minimizes the environmental impact of production making this a great choice to preserve and protect our planet.
The benefits of this textile go beyond its eco-friendly production processes. Tencel keeps your body pleasantly cool and dry with natural comfort and versaltility, enabling freedom to move with confidence. Efficient moisture management is assured as a result of the fiber ́s structure. Submicroscopic canals between the microscopic fibrils of cellulose fibers regulate the absorption and release of moisture, contributing to a more breathable fabric. The smooth fiber surface of Tencel fibers absorbs moisture more efficiently than cotton. This supports the body’s natural thermal regulating mechanism. Through moisture management, there is less available moisture formed on the surface of the fiber for bacteria to grow. Consequently, Tencel fibers provide a less favorable environment for bacterial growth, offering better hygienic qualities. Tencel fibers are naturally soft to the touch and offer long-lasting comfort. When viewed under an electron microscope, Tencel fibers exhibit a smooth surface area, giving fabrics a smooth feel and ensuring comfort for sensitive skin. Tencel is versatile and distinguished by its greater strength among cellulose fibers.
